Information we collect
Analytics
We use Umami, hosted on our own server, to count page views. It does not use cookies or store identifiers on your device. It records the page visited, the referring site, your browser, operating system, device type, language setting, and country (derived from your IP address by our CDN). Your IP address is not stored; it is combined with a salt that changes every month to count unique visitors, then discarded.
Server and CDN logs
The Site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the Site from abuse. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Messages you send us
If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.
Affiliate links
Some links on the Site are affiliate links, marked as such. If you buy something through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The partner may use cookies on its own site to attribute the purchase; this is governed by that partner's privacy policy.

We process analytics and log data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the Site.We answer your messages on the basis of your request.

International transfers and retention
Our servers are in Japan, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection. Analytics data is kept for up to 2 years. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
